Jimmy Akin: Will Mitt Romney be president?

I detest politics, so other than making fun of John Kerry or that sort of thing, you won’t hear me say much on the subject.  I’ll be informed and I’ll vote, but talking about it can be like pulling teeth.

However, this Mitt Romney fellow has been causing a hubbub, because he’s eligible as a presidential candidate and he’s a Mormon.
I still wouldn’t bring the subject up, but Jimmy Akin has written an excellent article about it.  Really, the day Jimmy Akin writes something that isn’t accessible, clear, and intellegent, look to the east for the return of our Lord.  In the meantime, GET THE STORY.

Much rabid discussion ensues, about a quarter of which is actually related to Romney.  The rest of it is on Mormonism, and it makes me wish that a) I wasn’t moving and rebuilding my site just now and b) I had content on the site in the first place so I could send people to it.  Ah, but if wishes were horses…

I just discovered your site. I actually work with a Mormon (he’s my boss) so I believe this site will come in very handy in learning more about the Mormon Church from a Catholic perspective.

Thanks for all the good info. I look forward to reading more.

Any time, Sean. Thanks for the comment.

It seems the main problem with those Mormons like Romney is that they actually believe that Jesus is the son of God the Father and Mary.
